CBF Heartland's Mission and Priorities

About Us

We serve Christians and churches as they discover and fulfill their God-given purpose.
Will you partner with us in renewing God’s world?

Our Story

CBF Heartland began as the Baptist Fellowship of Missouri in 1991 and changed to CBF of Missouri in 1992, reflecting our connection to the newly-formed Cooperative Baptist Fellowship organization. We became CBF Heartland in January 2013. The name change reflects our inclusive spirit, as we now welcome churches and individuals from 12 Midwestern states into our network.

Our Purpose

As Cooperative Baptists, our core purpose is to partner in renewing God’s world. God calls and equips us to spread the hope of Jesus Christ to the least of these. Whether we’re feeding the hungry, lifting up the voiceless, digging for water or helping families get back on their feet after a disaster, we and those with whom we minister experience renewal.

Our Focus

CBF Heartland expands the impact of Christians and churches as a:

  • Connector for community and collaboration
  • Convener for inspiration and identity
  • Catalyst for leadership and learning

Our Council

CBF Heartland is governed by a Coordinating Council made up of women and men from churches across the Heartland. The Council represents the geographic, gender and generational diversity of the Fellowship.
